Ryan M. Himmel, DDS, is committed to providing practical, patient-focused dental care for individuals and families in the community. Originally from Mattawan, Michigan, Dr. Himmel brings a strong work ethic and a thoughtful approach to dentistry shaped by his upbringing in a blue-collar family.
Dr. Himmel earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Michigan State University in 2020. He went on to complete his dental education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, graduating in 2024. His academic background gives him a strong foundation in both the science and hands-on skills needed to deliver reliable, effective dental care.
Dr. Himmel’s interest in dentistry began at a young age. Growing up, he was fascinated by how things are built, repaired, and maintained, and he saw a natural connection between that mindset and dentistry. For him, dentistry is about helping people eat comfortably, chew properly, and maintain oral health that supports everyday life. That early curiosity developed into a career focused on function, prevention, and long-term results.
His philosophy centers on patient education and collaboration. Dr. Himmel believes dental care should go beyond simply fixing a problem. By understanding how issues develop, he works with patients to create strategies aimed at lasting oral health and prevention. He takes the time to explain conditions and treatment options so patients feel informed and confident in their care.
Outside the office, Dr. Himmel enjoys spending time on the golf course, relaxing around lakes during the summer, and taking advantage of everything Michigan has to offer. He is looking forward to getting married to his fiancée, Abby, in August 2026.
